On 16 August 2021, I was blessed with an opportunity to meet the esteemed Adv. Yeshwant Shenoy sir. As part of my online summer internship, I worked under sir’s guidance and drafted my first legal draft. In the month of August, I visited my hometown for the sole purpose of meeting up with his respected presence.
Adv. Yeshwant Shenoy is practices at the Supreme Court of India, Bombay High Court and Kerala High Court. He had completed his Masters in Intellectual Property Law from World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). His most recent case being Yeshwant Shenoy v. Union of India regarding the 2020 Calicut aircrash.
His professional partner, Adv. Aysha Ma’am, accompanied Sir and my father accompanied me. We conversed about various topics such as environment, sustainable development, and inclusive society for intellectually disabled people, etc.
Sir told me that I could always work for him in an online mode. He advised me to be myself, to explore and to enjoy my life. While parting ways, Shenoy sir bestowed his published book upon me, ‘Biodiversity Law & Practice’ with a small message and his signature.
I am privileged to have had this experience and to have gained more knowledge. I look forward to working with Adv. Yeshwant Shenoy sir in my future endeavours.
