My Certificates

SCB : Society of Conservation Biology

Society of Conservation Biology held a conference in Amity University, Noida on the 20th of March 2018. I was selected for poster presentation for which I did a poster presentation on my personal case study and research work ” The Questionable Nature of the Genuineness of the EIA Reports in India”. I have elaborated about this in my blog article, please take a look. This presentation helped me to gain access to a lot more information, how to tackle dark barriers and I got new contacts. This was also a huge boost to my confidence and definitely a memorable day.

YETI : Young Ecologists Talk and Interact 2018

YETI was conducted in The Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda, Gujarat from 22nd to 25th January, 2018. This conference was power-packed with information. I met a lot of honourable environmentalists and others. Among them is Dr. Ranjithsinh Jhala, Dr. Varad Giri, Dr, Pranay Lal, etc. I also got to purchase Dr. Pranay Lal’s book Indica which I highly recommend as a good read to everyone. The knowledge I gained from this conference will stick to my skin and bones lifelong.

Human-Animal Conflicts in Kerala from status to solution:

This conference gave me a heads up about how greedy humans are for money and resources. It was held from the 14th to 16th of June 2016 at College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Mannuthy, Thrissur, Kerala. My respect for animals increased times fold after attending this conference.

International Conference on Tourism Technology (ICTT 2017)

International Conference on Tourism Technology was conducted in Le Meridian, Kochi on 9th and 10th June 2017. This held talks by various Digital Marketers like Lauren’s Cleland and Andrew Chow to improve tourism and help it to flourish by means of advanced technology. Use of social media like Facebook, snapchat, Instagram etc play a big role in increasing tourism. I was able to attend the conference, interact with many international digital marketers and even win a competition held there and get Mr. Andrew Chow’s book- Personal Branding as my gift prize. Those two days definitely helped to open my mind a lot more about travel, tourism and technology.

WIPRO’s “Earthian” : Conducted as a national level competition for schools all over India, my school, L’ecole Chempaka International participated for this. The topic was “Sustainability and Biodiversity’. The participating group had to create mini terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems to observe animal interaction and ecosystem dynamics. It was conducted to create awareness among students about the importance of the ecosystem. I was not a participant, however, the torturous conditions set about in the terraniums broke my heart. I wrote a letter to my biology teacher and to my  Vice Principle against this. They sent the observations of the terranium along with my letter as a “student’s perspective”. The WIPRO competition organisers were very much impressed by my view and my school won the competition and a cash prize of 1 lakh because of my letter.

SIFLA
